Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information Healing Nomad LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects when you visit healingnomad.com (the “Site”) or text our practice line, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Health information you share with us as a patient is also protected by our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices. Where the two overlap, the HIPAA Notice governs.
1. Information We Collect
- Information you send us: When you text our practice line or email us, we receive your mobile number or email address and anything you choose to include in your message.
- Information collected automatically: Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you requested. It is used to keep the Site secure and running.
- Site analytics: We use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool, to count visits and see which pages are read. It records the page, the referring site, and your browser, operating system, device type and country. It does not use cookies, does not store your IP address, and does not identify you.
- No web forms: The Site has no sign-up forms, contact forms or account fields. We do not collect personal information through the Site itself beyond what is described here.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to you, and schedule and coordinate your care;
- Send the appointment, scheduling and administrative text messages you have agreed to receive;
- Operate, secure and improve the Site; and
- Meet our legal and regulatory obligations.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Text Messaging (SMS)
By texting HEAL, you consent to receive recurring automated text messages from Healing Nomad about your inquiry, scheduling and care. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help.
Our text messaging is provided through OhMD, our patient communications provider, which handles messages on our behalf.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except the service providers that deliver our messages.
4. How We Share Information
We share information only:
- With service providers: companies that host the Site and deliver our messages, which may use the information only to provide those services to us;
- For your care: as described in our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices; and
- When required by law: to comply with a legal obligation, or to protect the safety of our patients or others.
5. Cookies
The Site does not use advertising or tracking cookies.
6. How We Protect Your Information
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Choices
You can stop text messages at any time by replying STOP. You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you by emailing info@healingnomad.com. Your rights over your medical records are set out in our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices.
8. Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
